How can illustrations help in a Radiology Department?
Radiology is a distinctly visual field of medicine. Illustrations and other visual media help communicate:
-
How imaging machines work (medical physics)
-
How to safely use equipment
-
Techniques and steps of a procedure
-
What the anatomy looks like when it's not visible in the image
-
Normal vs abnormal anatomy at different ages
-
An experimental set up
-
A proposed research plan for a grant application
-
Biochemistry and pathophysiology related to radiology
-
And more!
